Artie and Tina are named the captains of New Directions and Tina is eager to start reaping the benefits of their new found position. Artie finds being captain invigorating at first, but soon it’s harder to enjoy because he’s so focused on wanting to make things more fair in the glee club. Noticing this, Tina calls him out on it, and insists he start enjoying the seniority they have by making him sing with her, and showing him that they’ve paid their dues, and can change things without sacrificing what they earned.
